MCEDC Launches The Future Starts Here

Bottling Global Growth, Celebrating Wedding Bliss, and Guarding against Cyber Threats are Among our Many Paths to Success in Montgomery County

The Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC), recently launched a new marketing campaign, The Future Starts Here, to highlight Montgomery County as a great place for business, including featuring companies with a global impact and significant presence in the county. The work was created by the MCEDC’s marketing group, MoCo Labs.

The campaign series will showcase business success stories with a focus on company CEOs or top level executives. First up is You Can Go Global from MoCo, featuring entrepreneur Seth Goldman, Founder and TeaEO of Honest Tea. The initial creative work features a montage of landmarks in Bethesda, Maryland – Honest Tea’s home base – merging with London iconic spots to represent the global reach of his company. Working with MoCo Labs was nationally-recognized photographer Cade Martin, who is also a Montgomery County resident.

To roll out the You Can Go Global from MoCo campaign, MCEDC is producing dioramas in all three local airports, the Bethesda metro station, and creating ads to run in print and digital editions of the Washington Business Journal. The campaign will also include traffic sponsorships on iHeart Radio stations based in Washington, D.C. among other media outlets.

Future concepts within the series will include the successful Information Technology company, Wedding Wire, featuring CEO Tim Chi, and Ola Sage, Founder & CEO of the cybersecurity company, e-Management. These successes emphasize that what happens in Montgomery County changes the world in many leading industries, including IT, BioHealth and cybersecurity.

MCEDC is the organization tasked with helping businesses start, expand or relocate in Montgomery County. The staff is comprised of business development experts and researchers who are veterans of economic development in the capital region and in other parts of the country.
